I actually finished this project last night, but i felt tired so i didn't put it up :):) It was pretty simple, but there were many tries to get it just right:) Anyways the gold bead is meant to be a cherry, but i didn't have a red bead that fitted just right so i used a gold one:)The bottom bit was easy, and then the white cake bit started getting harder. I took a few tries for colours and sizes. I tried making it all to the top, but it didn't really work so i just ended up putting a cherry bead instead :] My thread ran out :( so i had to tie a knot and start again from where i left off. In this baby, there's at least 3 knots, two are very very visible, the last and final knot is actually invisible o_o
It's pretty fragile, but then again, everything i make seems to be very fragile because it's so precious to me:)i was very happy when i finished it lol. it's very small.
Problems: The bottom:
[Check out my pedo cat:):)]
anyways, the shape of bottom of the cupcake is easily changed -> therefore it is very fragile. which is sad. the threads show at the top, but apart from that i think i'm pretty happy with it :):)
Next time, i'm going to use fishing wire instead [to prove my mom wrong-> she keeps on saying that if i made it with fishing wire, it would be better]
and i'm going to try and make the pattern 2 times as large because it's tiny atm
Like i said before, i am very happy with my cupcake, beading is very much more enjoyable than cross-stitching as it doesn't take as long. Except the result you get from cross-stitching is much more promisingly pretty :):)
