Cake fail.

grr. so i did fire the slice of cake but, like the title suggests, it failed. the poop icing fell off and it just turned out ugly. okay, it wasn't very ugly, but just not good enough for me to like in anyway. Then again, it was just my first successful try with cake, so i guess it wasn't that bad. And considering that it was made with the regular school modelling clay... well, let's just move on...

Joey says mooo~!

Lol. [why do i always start with lol?] Yes. Joey. this is pretty much a dedication to you :):) i have no idea how cows are relevant to you, but anyhowws like i promised [not really, but] i made a cow :):) [and i proved my mom wrong. even though she didn't accept it.] so on the left is the cow made with regular white thread, and the one on the right is made with fishing wire. it turned out to be a very mad cow.
speaking of which, i did a science project about mad cow disease. it was rather very enjoyable [which is very weird.] i used a really resourceful resource: A BOOK. [wow.] no kidding. it was very good. i actually understood it. then again, i think i really enjoyed mad cow disease which made everything much easily to absorb.
It's called Mad Cow Disease[very creative, yes] by Barbara Sheen[i think]. There's a lot of good information. yes.
anyways. back onto what i started on. lol. This baby is pretty big compared to my other ones. it's flat also. took me approximately a day to complete the whole thing. because of the many rows, it was very floppy, loose and the whole thing just didn't look right held up. So, i had to thread the rows together. There're many knots so it doesn't look as good as the pattern as it wasn't made from that fancy japanese beading wire. *cries* hopefully, i can lay my hands on some very soon. :):)
so, lessons learnt from this project: if making a beaded piece with many rows of beads, use the fancy japanese wire, or keep the rows with the same number of beads. [notice how gold row the right side of my cow sticks out by one bead.] okay, one bead, may not be much, but one little bit adds up to a lot. ooh~! and the lines that goes down, is very noticeable. visibly crooked which isn't a pretty sight.
anyways. i think i should restrict my projects to weekends. i really have a lot of work to do. grr. it's very annoying. i'm really blocked on my work. grr. anyways. i don't think you'll see much of my projects for the week :):)
<3 ya all :):)

Cake!!

Lol. So happy. I made a slice of Cake!! :):) i actually made it 2days ago. lol
actually i'm really not that happy with it. I was really happy when i finally managed to make it (after like a million tries, no it was just 3 or something like that.) it looks very ugly, i know, it's made of the normal modelling clay you use at school. (ugly. i have to paint it and fire it) and it hasn't been fired (yet) and it hasn't been painted (yet) :):) AND IT HASN'T BEEN MAGICALLY POLISHED BY MY MAGICAL FINGERS YET!! :O :O so of course it's pretty ugly xD I had hoped that some uber nice person would read my note and put it in the kiln for me, but they didn't T^T So i put it in the kiln myself this morning and hopefully, i can get it all fired for monday :):)
I tried using one of those asian liquid glue things for icing and the liquid-ish like things but the clay squeezed out funny and really thin. it actually looked really gross. i wasted half my time mixing the clay in the water so it was the right consistency. my hands and fingers were covered in clay. SPLATTERS OF CLAY GOT ON MY DRESS T^T. [and my face got speckled with white dots.] the stupid thing was like farting diarrhoea xDxD I went and got my syringe [finally] - it worked so much better!! :):) i was very happy with the syringe's result. and so that was how i made the poo look-a-like cream on the top and the icing/cream in the middle.
grr. i couldn't make any macaroons. they all stuffed up. *sighs* it looked pretty nice the first few times, but then it looked ugly when i tried to make them recently. They just didn't look right O_o
anyways i think i might make a beaded cow thing. have i mentioned that i love cows?

Project Completion!! Cupcakee:):)

I actually finished this project last night, but i felt tired so i didn't put it up :):) It was pretty simple, but there were many tries to get it just right:) Anyways the gold bead is meant to be a cherry, but i didn't have a red bead that fitted just right so i used a gold one:)
The bottom bit was easy, and then the white cake bit started getting harder. I took a few tries for colours and sizes. I tried making it all to the top, but it didn't really work so i just ended up putting a cherry bead instead :] My thread ran out :( so i had to tie a knot and start again from where i left off. In this baby, there's at least 3 knots, two are very very visible, the last and final knot is actually invisible o_o
It's pretty fragile, but then again, everything i make seems to be very fragile because it's so precious to me:)i was very happy when i finished it lol. it's very small.
Problems: The bottom:
[Check out my pedo cat:):)]
anyways, the shape of bottom of the cupcake is easily changed -> therefore it is very fragile. which is sad. the threads show at the top, but apart from that i think i'm pretty happy with it :):)
Next time, i'm going to use fishing wire instead [to prove my mom wrong-> she keeps on saying that if i made it with fishing wire, it would be better]
and i'm going to try and make the pattern 2 times as large because it's tiny atm
Like i said before, i am very happy with my cupcake, beading is very much more enjoyable than cross-stitching as it doesn't take as long. Except the result you get from cross-stitching is much more promisingly pretty :):)

Project Registration: Beaded Cupcake!

Yay! A beaded cupcake! Ooohh~! the challenge!! . it's not that big. Anyways i'll see how it goes
Time: a night?
Equipment/Materials: beads, thread, scissors, my eyes and brain
xtra- i'm cheating a little, not actually threading the bead [have you seen how small my beads are?] + i'm using two threads to make everything so threading would be hard. BUT like i said before, i'm cheating. hah! tip: use a thread threader thing :):)
